When you use Bam Good Time, we may collect the following information:

- Event Data: Registration history, attendance, and game scores for league play
- Contact Information: Name, email, and phone number when you contact us or sign up for our newsletter
- Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe for paid events (we do not store card details)
How We Use Your Information
- To manage event registrations and check-ins
- To maintain league standings and player statistics
- To send event updates and newsletter content (with your consent)
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- To process payments for paid events
- To send SMS/text messages related to your club membership and events
Marketing Communications
By creating an account or providing your email address to Bam Good Time, you agree that we may use your email address to send you:
- Transactional messages — account confirmations, event registrations, receipts, password resets, and similar service communications
- Product updates — announcements about new features, club news, and platform changes
- Offers and promotions — including offers for Bam Good Time products (such as Mahjong tiles and accessories), partner products, and curated recommendations relevant to the Mahjong community
All marketing emails include a clear unsubscribe link. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time without affecting your ability to use the platform — transactional service messages will continue regardless of marketing preferences. To opt out, click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact us through our contact page.
We do not sell your email address to third parties. Marketing emails are sent by Bam Good Time on behalf of itself and its affiliated brands only.
Advertising
We reserve the right to advertise and promote our own products, services, and events — within our platforms, by email, and through notifications you have opted into. We may use the information we collect to personalize the offers and recommendations we show you. This advertising is first-party: it promotes Bam Good Time and its affiliated brands.
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use third-party cross-site tracking to build advertising profiles for other companies.
SMS/Text Messaging (Club & Event Notifications)
By providing your phone number and consenting to receive text messages, you agree to receive SMS messages from Bam Good Time and the Mahjong clubs you join. These club and event messages are transactional in nature and relate to your club membership and event participation. Separately, you can opt in to marketing and restock text messages through our online shop, described in the Mobile / SMS Messaging (Marketing & Restock Alerts) section below.
Types of Messages
We may send you the following types of SMS messages:
- Account Invitations: When a club administrator invites you to join their club
- Event Reminders: Notifications about upcoming events you're registered for
- Check-in Notifications: Confirmations when you check in to an event, including table assignments
- Game Results: Updates about your scores and rating changes after league play
- Waitlist Updates: Notifications when you're moved from a waitlist to a confirmed spot
- Account Verification: One-time codes for phone number verification
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your event participation. You may receive 1-5 messages per event you're registered for. Verification codes are sent only when you request them.
Opting Out
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive texts from us. Reply START to resubscribe.

SMS Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers you provide for club and event notifications are used for those transactional messages; phone numbers you provide through the shop's opt-in program are used as described in the Mobile / SMS Messaging (Marketing & Restock Alerts) section below.
Mobile / SMS Messaging (Marketing & Restock Alerts)
This section describes how we collect, use, and share the mobile phone numbers and SMS/text-message consent you provide, including numbers collected through our online shop's "Notify me when back in stock" form and through club registration.
How We Collect Your Mobile Number
We collect a mobile phone number only when you provide it yourself — for example, when you enter your number in the shop's "Notify me when back in stock" form (shown on sold-out products) or when you provide it during club registration. Every SMS opt-in is presented as a separate checkbox that is unchecked by default and requires your explicit action to check. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of any purchase.
How We Use Your Mobile Number
We use the phone number and SMS consent you provide to send restock alerts for products you asked about, occasional promotional messages about restocks, new products, and sales, and transactional notices related to your account, club membership, and events. We send only the categories of message you opted in to.
Opting In and Opting Out
You opt in through explicit, unchecked consent — no SMS checkbox is pre-checked. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive a confirmation and will no longer receive texts of that type. For help, reply HELP.
Mobile Information and Third Parties
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Event Photos and Likeness
Photos and video taken at club events — by club organizers, hosts, attendees, or anyone else present — may be published by the club for promotional purposes such as the club's social media, event recap posts, newsletters, and venue marketing. Each club is responsible for the photos it publishes from its own events and for handling any requests to remove an image. If you do not want your image used, contact the club's administrator directly using the contact information on the club's page; they will remove existing published photos featuring you and exclude you from future use. For events where minors may attend, parental consent for photo use is the responsibility of the club and is handled at the venue.

We use trusted third-party services to help run our platform:
- Supabase: Database and authentication services
- Stripe: Payment processing for paid events
- Twilio: SMS/text messaging services
- Shopify: E-commerce for our shop
- Resend: Email communications
- Formspree: Contact form submissions
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections, and we use industry-standard encryption for sensitive data. Payment information is handled directly by Stripe and never touches our servers.
